    "Images and Texts reproduced",  XIth International IAWIS/AIERTI Conference at the University of Lausanne ​ Appropriation art has been subject to several lawsuits artists initiated for copyright infringement. A legal analysis of appropriation art shows the uneasiness of copyright law to come to grips with this artistic phenomenon. Because the appropriation artist copies without the permission of the copyright holder, copyright law tends to consider it as in breach of an artist

    Professor Walther Hug Prize 2017

    My book was awarded the Professor Walther Hug Prize 2017. ​ The prestigious Professor Walther Hug Prize is granted annually for the best Swiss PhD theses in law. It awards doctorate dissertations which have already received the highest distinction at the University (summa cum laude) and stand out for their scientific quality. In my thesis, I explore the liability of auction houses under Swiss, English and US law for misattributing consigned works of art and antiquities.
