Conference: Best practices in the art market

On 29 October 2018, Kunstforum Zürich and the University of Zurich's Art Market Studies program held a conference on due diligence in the art market and the rise of self-regulatory initiatives in Switzerland. Marc Spiegler, director of Art Basel, spoke Art Basel's new ethical guidelines and dispute resolution process. Anne Laure Bandle presented the Responsible Art Market (RAM) initiative. These two presentations were followed by a round table discussion moderated by Nicolas Galley, Director of Studies, University of Zurich’s Art Market Studies program with the first two speakers and the following participants: Stefan Puttaert, Director Sotheby’s Zurich; Victor Gisler, Galerie Mai 36 and Claudius Ochsner, President of the Swiss Art Trading Association.
