More Art (Law) Conferences

  • The Schweizer Forum für Kommunikationsrecht (SF-FS) will hold a conference on 16 May 2018 in Zurich on the proposed changes to the Swiss Copyright Act that are currently discussed by the Swiss parliament (conference title "URG-Revision ... zum Letzten?"). The full programme is available here.

  • The International Art Market Studies Association (TIAMSA) has created a legal sub-committee that gathers practitioners and academics involved in art law. It will hold a legal panel at TIAMSA’s next yearly conference on 27 - 29 September 2018 in Vienna, conference title "Art for the People? Questioning the Democratization of the Art Market”. Here's a link to their Call for Papers with more details. The deadline to submit a paper is 15 April 2018.

  • Finally, Platform 10 (bringing together in a single location the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (Cantonal Museum of Fine Art) mcb-a, the Musée de l’Elysée (Cantonal Museum of Photography), the mudac (Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts), and the Toms Pauli and Félix Vallotton Foundations) is organising a non legal conference on the digitization of art in museums on 26-28 April 2018 in Lausanne, conference title "Le Musée au défi.
